New Semester

Well, it looks like we are getting ready to start a new semester and I am going to continue to try to modify the CS 1410 curriculum as I did during the fall as well. I have decided that modifications that I would like to make involve a lot more time than I had originally intended. At any rate, we will be making blogs this Spring and try using that as a delivery mechanism for labs, should be pretty interesting to see how it goes.

Not much more to add at the moment, so I guess that I won't.

I'am glad to be in this lab and class because last semester I was in an online class and I didn't like the format and had to drop the class. I have a little computer knowledge however I would like to know much more so that I know what I need and how to make my system run better.

I didn't know Google had snapped up Blogger.com until you had us create blogs in class today. It's cool that the guys that created the site managed to find a buyer, but how is Google going to make a profit from this?

I have been meaning to read some Ted Dekker books! My sister read Thr3e and I've been looking for a good book deal on it ever since she mentioned them! I am sure I would love them. I like Frank Peretti books a lot, and I know he and Ted Dekker published one together recently that I'd like to read as well!
and I too like Nicole Mullen and MercyMe :)

The blog seems like it's going to be an awesome format for this CS class. I waited until my last undergrad semester to take it because I kind of dreaded what it might entail, but this seems like it will be fun.

I am looking forward to this class. I have a good basic understanding of computers, especially Macs, but I hope to learn a lot more. I am a music industries major, and the majority of the music industry has shifted towards using Mac computers, so I hope this class will help me jump ahead of the rest of the field in their knowledge of computers.

Professor Miles,

The question that you asked us yesterday in class about the name of a male ballerina plagued on me so I did some research. These are the possible names I found:
1)'Prima ballerina assoluta' is the title originating in Russia in the 19th century
2)Danseur is the most common; and
3)cavalier

Although there is no agreed upon term I hope this helps a little bit.
